The Outcroppings is a collective term for a jumble of giant rocks below the Chimney. Pulpit Rock offers the best camera angle and view of the Chimney, so all you shutterbugs get ready, aim and take some great pictures. The Rock Pile is an excellent place to take in the view of the Gorge from a lower elevation, which really gives you an appreciation for the vastness of the Park. At Vista Rock, take a moment to enjoy the new observation deck. Be sure to check out Moonshiner’s Cave for an authentic glimpse into the history of the potent brew. The Outcroppings has two narrow passageways to the Chimney, the Subway and the Grotto. Pick your path, but remember to duck!
